The programme is clinically led by the Bowel Cancer Screener Accreditation panel. Their primary role is to advise on the process of assessing and accrediting screening endoscopists. The panel oversees the quality assurance of the accreditation process to ensure that bowel cancer screening is provided by safe, high-quality endoscopists. The panel meet twice yearly and includes representation from each assessment centre.The Chair of the panel is Dr Mark Donnelly, who is a Clinical Director at South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Bowel Cancer Screening Centre and Director at Yorkshire Endoscopy Training Academy.
Mark is supported by members of the JAG office team who oversee the accreditation process and day to day operations.
